Yesterday around noon, right in the middle of Christmas breakfast, it started to snow outside. Big white flakes fell heavily for around an hour then turned into sleet and finally just rain. It's the first time I've seen snow on Christmas Day in years. I can't remember the exact last date, but I think it had to be around the early 90s. It was a nice surprise for the holiday considering it doesn't snow that much here. I spent the rest of the day looking longingly at Mt. Hood in the distance wishing I was up there snowboarding on new snow.
Christmas dinner was lots of fun. We broke from tradition (usually Chinese food) and had pizza this year. Not Domino's pizza but GOOD pizza from a local pizza joint. Then the usual - open presents, play games. We played Apples to Apples and I actually won a round. Whoo-hoo!
Late, as everyone was leaving, I headed over to Robert's parents' house where he, Reid and I chilled in the hot tub for an hour. The three of us have managed to get together on Christmas Day like this for the last several years, except for last year (the tonsil nightmare).
For Wally Wednesday, I'd like to repost this photo from last year around this time when he first became friends with his now BFF, Stryder. Look how tiny little Stryder was! Now he's 50lbs of muscle and love.
If you think Wally is spoiled, think again. This is my mom's 29lb cat Moby who is spoiled beyond belief. Have you ever seen such a big cat?

Is that the cat after the taxidermist got to it? No? That is a tummy that calls out for being rubbed! Love Wally and Stryder . . . Glad your Xmas was nice.
Moby is the perfect name for that enormous kitty!
Wally/Stryder shots are always worth posting, whether they are new or old. Love those two together.
That's not a cat. That's a faux fur rug.
